A campaign is a very delicate game. Know then, that it is game session 10191. The known campaigns are game mastered by the Padisha Game Master Shaddam IV, my father. In these sessions, the most precious tool in the campaigns are the roleplaying dice. Dice extends life. Dice expands consciousness. Dice are vital to gaming. The Roleplaying Guild and its Callers, who the dice has changed over forty years, use the polyhedral dice, which gives them the abilty to call the game. That is, to send the party to any part of the dungeon without mapping. Oh yes, I forgot to tell you. Dice are created in only one factory in the entire gaming community. A desolate, dry factory with vast floors. Hidden away within the walls of these floors are gamers known as the Pen&Papers, who have long held a prophecy, that a roleplayer would come, an immersionist, who would lead them to true diceless gaming. The factory is Arrakis. Also known as your parent’s basement.

I must save vs. fear
Fear the mind-flayer.
Fear is the little-death compared to sphere of annihilation.
I will save vs. fear.
The die will permit me to pass the check.
And when I have passed I will turn the inner eye to see its path.*
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.

*(A creature that successfully saves against an effect that has no obvious physical repercussions feels a hostile force or a tingle, but can’t deduce the exact nature of the attack.)

Det er en meget fin omskrivning Dune. Det er lige før man skulle overveje at høre folk i den, inden de får lov at spille.
